Well hello again! I decided to start a blog on my new website considering my previous blog was a great creative outlet for me. I'm hoping it can be a space for you to gain inspiration, be informed, and listen to a girly type her little heart away.
My first blog post back is going to be the start of what I hope is a recurring topic.
Here is my ~March Inspiration~
Let's talk social media. Recently I've been dipping my toes into many different genres of content creation. For starters I spent 7 months managing and creating content for upwards of 11 social accounts which ranged from restaurants to botox injectors. Since being laid off, I have tried my hand at some new things. For starters, I've been working on my graphic design skills (yes I got canva pro and yes it's great and i don't care. what you have to say about it). Secondly, I've been shooting for my local magazine, Delaware today, and it's been so fun shooting places I would have never thought to until I was paid to. Lastly, I started making graphics for my girlfriend's D3 basketball team that she coaches towards the end of the season. I made one just for shits and giggles and realized "wow this is kinda fun". Since sports graphics peaked my interest, I've been interested in pursuing that as a career.
As far as growth since I graduated, I think I've grown to more flexible in my capability to produce what the client wants, rather than what I think "looks good". It's still a work in progress, having that mindset; however, I have come quite a ways from college Lily brain.
Next up, let's chat about some photoshoot concepts I've had in mind.
I know for sure I want to have a group shoot in the spring/summer or late summer. I want to create a concept for converse, maybe it's been done before, maybe not but I want to do it my way. Here is some inspo for that...
